Terminology¶

• Repository: An online storage unit for data
• Content Object: A group of data in the repository
• Simple Content Object: The smallest possible group of data in the repository
• Complex Content Object: A content object that exists out of multiple content objects (for example an assessment with questions)
• Application: A specific context to use data from the repository
• Core Application: An application that is necessary to run the system
• Optional Application: An application that is not needed to run the system
• Publication: The link between a content object and an application
