Can we add those two horizontal lines to make some more division in the functionality list?

I've added them in this order however i have a problem with adding the line to the tree, it is not beautiful. Maybe we can just divide them in subcategories? Or just do it without a line.

Can't we fake the icon .. just an empty icon. And the style of the line you propose is not really nice. If it is too difficult. Just keep it with changing to current order. That's more than ok to start with

Generally speaking, it would be better to have a title for categories of actions, like we have in 1.8 about the "content creation", the "interaction" and the "admin" tools. It helps visualize clearly what category of actions we are presenting, and focus on the ones I need to do what I'm doing right now. This being said, the line-split as it is right now is already sufficient for now.

Sufficient ... probably, but I do agree "real" titles would be better structure- / design-wise. Going to have a look at this tomorrow, not sure whether it's possible / a good idea with the current menus. Different categories could be seen as seperate menus. That being said I'm pretty optimistic that it should be possible to achieve the desired effect using CSS.

Can I close this one? It is still on 90% but as Hans says, I like the current implementation and we can always finish this in a later release.
