Description

Settings in the course administraton area:

course access:
Open - access allowed for users registered on the platform

Subscription:
allowed

access password:
set

unfortunately it is possible for everybody simply by clicking "Go to the course" to enter the course without any restrictions.

As i remember correctly, in 1.8 this "security feature" was set properly.

So, please anyone, how to set a course visible to ALL, but access only after entering the passcode?
I know this can be done temporarily by setting this course closed, and subscription can be done by admin.
But seriously, this is NOT an option for self-registering platforms.

Legal terms are shown properly and you have to sing them, but really NO restriction to course content.

Help appreciated ;-)

It continues not showing nothing about asking for passwords to entering a course when it has a password set. or is there any specific place where the password has to be asked?

As i see the configuration "Course registration password" is only asked for registering a course not for entering, It works fine for registering, see the attachment, but what we can do for establishing a pass for entering a course?

That should be a feature, but I think it will be annoying to enter the password every time you want to enter in a course, well who knows..

I confirm that it should only be asked on registration.

Has anybody tested the actual version (1.9) against the old version (1.8) of course creation in detail?

All that is needed:
  • courses should be public (for all, no registration on the platform)
  • courses should be visible for all registered users, and also possible to enter without any restriction
  • courses should be visible for all registered users, but entering courses should only be possible via registration
  • courses should be visible for all registered users, but accessing courses should only be possible after registration and approval by the course admin
  • courses should be visible for all registered users, but accessing the course should only be possible by entering a course password

And in the last case, actually it is possible to enter a course without entering the password.
This means, you see 2 buttons "Go to the course" and "subscribe" (and of course, the first one is wrong...).

Depending on which rights the users have to see/book/join this course, there should be only the relevant button.

Did i also mention, when you have to sign TOS (terms of service) for a course, you have to sign this EACH time you access this course.
Isn't this a bit annoying?
Wouldn't it be better to let the users check it only once, and only if the TOS has changed, they have to sign it again?
(sorry, please split this to a new bug; but there are so many bugs actually, i don't know where to stop when i explain a case ;-)

Thanks

Alex
