Description

  • setting specific rights to a portfolio (folder) does not automatically affect the items in the portfolio as expected (items that have been recently added are not affected)

the only problem I find is that something changed in the way the element-finder returns it's values so that assigning rights to certain users/groups doesn't work anymore.
I have no idea what was changed, where, why and by whom. it must be very recent because it is still working on our test-platform

after spending a lot of time looking for the cause of this problem i have found it

the elementfinder does not work if platform is set to "test" instead of to "production"

for some reason addslashes() is performed on all get and post variables when in "test"-mode and not in "production"-mode

so the element finder does only work in production mode. (with the slashes, the unserialize that is performed in the get_values method will cause it to alway return nothing)

I don't know why these slashes are added in test-mode
