Description

Just seen that at a customer's today. The green upload box is divided in two (seems like two layers of the same green area, one with the message, the other without it) and it's impossible to drag a file onto it (the file just opens in a new browser tab).

I think the problem might have been in the latest Chrome too.

In fact we need to change the description text:

Click on the box below to select files from your computer (you can use CTRL + clic to select various files at a time), or drag and drop some files from your desktop directly over the box below. The system will handle the rest!

Why not put the simple and the "advanced" upload on the same page?

Just put the advanced one on top and the simple one below, then maybe hide it for IE8 (there is already code to hide something behind the icon for SVGedit)

Currently it is quite confusing (or maybe I should say time-consuming) to have two different tabs.

Don't make the message too specific about browsers. Rather, say in which it doesn't work:

Hint: You can drag & drop files from your desktop on this page. This might not work with some deficient or closed-specifications browsers like Internet Explorer. In this case, please use the Simple upload section.

ok, if u are using ieX you are condemned to use the simple way. For everyone else you would have the 2 tabs just in case.
