Description
when adding an external link to a menu this doesn't display.
links to applications display fine.

I get this problem on the stable again.
adding a category to the menu
adding an item to this category that is an external link
--> dropdown is not shown.
when I also add items that link to applications under the same category there is a dropdown, but only the links to applications are shown, not the external links

should be fixed again now.
to fix on existing platforms: change the value of the 'application' field in the database from '' to null for external links
