I often get a read time out on Google docs (< 10').

With nearly every action data appear to be retrieved from google docs, taking up to a minute to refresh the page (e.g. when sorting on date/title): this seems to be unnecessary, as the data are available and only the presentation (sorting) needs to be changed: re-retrieving the data does not seem to make any sense in many cases

The Google Docs API is by far the slowest they have (and the most incomplete so far in PHP). A new (and hopefully better) version is in progress.
